Louis-Nicolas Darbon
Louis-Nicolas Darbon is a French London-based contemporary artist influenced by pop art, neo-expressionism and street art. He is well known for his various iconic pop figure portraits and fashion inspired artworks and in 2021 became The Ritz-Carlton Artist Partner.
Louis-Nicolas’ latest body of work, titled ICONS, was inspired by idols of past and present, from Hollywood stars to iconic car designs and timeless architecture. Known for his pop figure portraits and fashion inspired artworks, his work combines large-scale canvases, marble and resin sculptures, and light projection.
Louis-Nicolas says: “Music, film, design and architecture have always played a huge part in my art. Whilst this is where I find much of my inspiration, my drive is to create something that can become a special part of someone’s life - something they can look at when they get home after a long day and escape for a moment. Art is personal and open to interpretation. That’s what I really love about it.”
