Diego Smith is the chef and owner of Las Tortugas Catering. Born in Grand Cayman, Diego has been cooking since he was a young child, helping out in the kitchen and sneaking a taste before his grandmother could catch him, if he was lucky. Diego has studied and worked in England, Canada, and Italy to expand his knowledge and skills. He moved back to Cayman and strives to learn more about Caribbean cuisine, believing that the region has a lot more to offer. When he's not in the kitchen, he enjoys being near the ocean and drinking rum.
